AutoTrader Connect API is a powerful integration that our system has enabled, allowing car dealers to seamlessly connect their platform with AutoTrader. This ensures stock, images, and pricing are kept in sync in real time, reducing duplication and helping dealers manage their inventory more efficiently.

What is AutoTrader Connect?

AutoTrader Connect is the service that powers the integration between a dealer’s system and AutoTrader’s platform. It provides dealers with a streamlined way to publish and manage vehicles without the need for manual updates. Key features include:

• Instant updates: Any changes made on the dealer portal (such as pricing, images, or vehicle details) are reflected instantly on AutoTrader’s website.
• Flexible publishing options: If a dealer exceeds their AutoTrader package limit, they can still publish vehicles to their own website using the My Website option in the dealer portal.
• Dealer ID requirement: A valid Dealer ID is required to set up and use AutoTrader Connect.
• Stock continuity: If an AutoTrader account is cancelled, stock data is not lost — dealers can simply switch to Manual mode for editing and continue managing their vehicles.

What if my website is already connected to AutoTrader?

If you are currently with a different provider, you can contact your AutoTrader representative to let them know you are switching to our services. This can be done either before or after your application and will allow us to access your account.

Please note that all stock is managed through the AutoTrader Dealer Portal.
